Wie een budget toegekend kreeg in PG3 (prioriteitengroep 3) heeft komende maanden kans om een VAPH brief en enkele bezoeken te krijgen om na te gaan of de zorgvraag nog gebleven is. Johan Decruyenaere, bestuurslid van STAN, pleit voor een open en transparant welzijnsbeleid voor al wie wacht op korte en lange termijn, begrijpbaar voor iedereen.
11.000 gehandicapten hebben geen enkel perspectief wanneer en of ze ooit in aanmerking komen voor het hen toegekende budget.
Onze overheid erkent wel hun nood aan ondersteuning maar voorziet geen geld voor iedereen. Prioriteitengroep 3 is intussen 5 jaar geworden na het afschaffen van de CRZ wachtlijsten. Zij kregen de laagste prioriteit.
Onze overheid zit ermee verveeld en wil iets doen, liefst zonder hen een cent te geven. Wel 500 000€ voor de administratie van een proefproject om 1200 gehandicapten uit groep 3 af te leiden naar andere vormen van ondersteuning.
Verschillende nota’s werden daarvoor al op hoog niveau besproken en opgemaakt. Nu worden mensen bevraagd wat ze eigenlijk willen. Want het is intussen lang geleden dat hun ondersteuningsvraag werd opgemaakt of overgezet uit een vorige wachtlijst en die zou wel eens kunnen veranderd zijn onder het lange wachten – door overlijdens is hun aantal al verminderd!

Waarom niet allen zelf de zorgvraag met hulp opnieuw formuleren indien nodig?
Vijf jaar na het invoeren van het persoonsvolgend budget mag het tijd zijn om niet enkel de zorgvragen van wie wacht te actualiseren en links en rechts een proefproject te lanceren maar vooral om al wie wacht op zijn beloofd budget eens klaarheid te geven over de toegekende ondersteuning. Een open en transparant welzijnsbeleid op korte en lange termijn, begrijpbaar voor iedereen.
Het zou een mooi eindejaarscadeau zijn van onze minister van welzijn Wouter Beke (CD&V).
