Het zorgbudget voor mensen met een handicap (vroegere BOB) is per 1 januari 2023 verdwenen uit de Vlaamse Sociale Bescherming en toegevoegd aan het Groeipakket. De naam is veranderd in ondersteuningstoeslag.
De ondersteuningstoeslag vervangt dus het zorgbudget voor mensen met een handicap (ofwel BOB). Het verdwijnt uit de Vlaamse Sociale Bescherming en gaat in plaats daarvan deel uitmaken van het Groeipakket.
Wanneer heeft je kind recht op de ondersteuningstoeslag?
- Je kind scoort minstens 12 punten op de medisch-sociale schaal.
- Je kind is jonger dan 21 (je ontvangt de toeslag tot en met de maand waarin je kind 21 wordt).
- Je kind woont in Vlaanderen of het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest.
- Je kind is Belg of voldoet aan de nationaliteitsvoorwaarde.
Het gaat om een bedrag van € 331,22 per maand. Woon je in Vlaanderen? Je uitbetaler van het Groeipakket betaalt de toeslag automatisch uit wanneer je er recht op hebt. Woon je in Brussel? Vraag de ondersteuningstoeslag schriftelijk (of per e-mail) aan bij een van de vijf Vlaamse uitbetalers.
Je kind kan recht hebben op zowel de ondersteunings- als de zorgtoeslag.
