De opleiding Orthopedagogie van de AP Hogeschool in Antwerpen doet onderzoek naar de taken, noden en verwachtingen van de persoonlijke assistent zonder familieband en de verwachtingen en noden van volwassenen met een verstandelijke beperking en hun netwerk ten aanzien van de persoonlijke assistent, in functie van participatie.
Wie kan er deelnemen aan het onderzoek?
- persoonlijke assistenten zonder familieband die werkzaam zijn bij volwassenen met een verstandelijke beperking
- personen met een verstandelijke beperking (gebruikers) die ondersteuning krijgen van (een) persoonlijke assistent(en)
- personen uit het netwerk van gebruikers van ondersteuning die (een) persoonlijke assistent(en) in dienst hebben
Wat wordt er verwacht?
Van de deelnemers aan het onderzoek wordt verwacht dat ze bereid zijn om deel te nemen aan een interview van ongeveer 1 uur of een groepsgesprek van ongeveer 2 uur. Dat interview of gesprek wordt op audiotape opgenomen. Tijdens het interview of groepsgesprek zal gevraagd worden naar hun taken, noden en verwachtingen in de ondersteuning die ze bieden als persoonlijke assistent of die ze krijgen als gebruiker of lid van het netwerk. Persoonlijke assistenten kunnen ook deelnemen aan een anonieme digitale vragenlijst.
