Na de verhuis van STAN, werd een deel van onze archieven, die een periode van meer dan 60 jaar omvatten, aan het Archief en Museum voor het Vlaams leven te Brussel geschonken.
Archief van STAN raadplegen? Dat kan via het AMVB
Wie zich graag wil onderdompelen in de rijke geschiedenis van STAN, kan voortaan terecht in de Arduinkaai in Brussel.
Daar kan je, onder de rubriek BEAMVB386, onze archieven raadplegen.
Ons Trefpunt Verstandelijke Handicap werd in 1959 opgericht door Dr. Renée Portray onder de naam ANAER, 'Association Nationale pour l'Aide aux Enfants Retardés'.
Doorheen de jaren vonden er naamsveranderingen plaats en in 1990 splitste de nationale vereniging in een Vaamse en een Franstalige dochtervereniging (tussen 2003 en 2018 heette de Vlaamse vereniging Inclusie Vlaanderen).
In het hele land werden er daarnaast lokale afdelingen opgericht, ook in Brussel. Al die tijd werd een rijk archief opgebouwd bestaande uit de eigen magazines, jaarverslagen, briefwisseling en foto's.
Het achief werd in mei 2022 aan het AMVB geschonken.
