Heb je af en toe behoefte aan wat extra hulp? Je wilt bijvoorbeeld dat iemand om de veertien dagen een uurtje langs komt om je administratie op orde te houden? Dan kun je Rechtstreeks Toegankelijke Hulp (RTH) inschakelen.
Het gaat om beperkte handicap specifieke ondersteuning. Je hoeft hiervoor geen aanvraag in te dienen bij het VAPH (meerderjarigen) of de Intersectorale Toegangspoort (minderjarigen), je neemt rechtstreeks contact op met een zorgaanbieder.
Er zijn wel bepaalde voorwaarden:
- Je hebt een (vermoeden van) handicap.
- Je bent jonger dan 65 jaar. Als je al erkend bent als persoon met een handicap door het VAPH, dan speelt je leeftijd geen rol.
- Je woont in Vlaanderen of in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest. Voor volwassenen is een domicilie vereist. Voor minderjarigen volstaat een feitelijke verblijfplaats in Vlaanderen of het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest.
- Je hebt nog geen persoonlijke-assistentie budget of persoonsvolgend budget ter beschikking.
Per kalenderjaar kun je 8 punten besteden bij een zorgaanbieder. Je kiest zelf waarvoor je deze punten inzet, dat kan begeleiding, dagopvang of verblijf zijn. Je kunt de verschillende vormen ook combineren, je hoeft bijvoorbeeld niet al je punten aan ambulante begeleiding uit te geven.
