Kies ik voor zorgtoeslag of een inkomensvervangende/ integratietegemoetkoming?

Wanneer je kind 18 jaar wordt, heeft hij of zij naast de verhoogde kinderbijslag ook recht op een extra tegemoetkoming. Welke keuze is de beste voor mijn kind? 

Sinds 2021 is de leeftijd om in aanmerking te komen voor de inkomensvervangende tegemoetkoming en de integratietegemoetkoming (IVT/IT) verlaagd van 21 naar 18 jaar.

Dat maakt dat er overlap is met de zorgtoeslag die tot 21 jaar loopt en een keuze noodzakelijk is: blijf je bij de zorgtoeslag (verhoogde  kinderbijslag) of stap je over naar het stelsel van de volwassenen, nl. de inkomensvervangende tegemoetkoming en/of de integratietegemoetkoming?

Dit is een moeilijke maar belangrijke keuze. Handig hulpmiddel daarbij is deze brochure.
