HandyPark moet parkeerboetes voorkomen

App maakt parkeren voor mensen met een handicap eenvoudiger

Steeds meer Belgische steden en gemeenten schakelen over op digitale parkeerregistratie via sms, app of betaalautomaat. Controle gebeurt vaak met scancars of parkeerwachters met tablets. Helaas kunnen scanauto’s de parkeerkaart voor personen met een handicap niet zien liggen achter de voorruit, wat leidt tot onterechte boetes.

De app handyPark biedt een oplossing. Die koppelt je parkeerkaart digitaal aan je nummerplaat. Je logt éénmalig in met Itsme of e-ID, waarna de koppeling wordt geactiveerd. Scanauto’s herkennen dan automatisch je rechten. De app ondersteunt meerdere nummerplaten, maar slechts één tegelijk. Je moet de fysieke parkeerkaart wél nog steeds achter je voorruit leggen.

Wist je dat er in België meer dan een half miljoen parkeerkaarten in omloop zijn? Dat zijn heel wat onterechte boetes die met deze app kunnen worden vermeden. Minder goed nieuws: wie geen smartphone heeft, kan de app helaas niet gebruiken.
