Onderzoek: toegankelijke openbare ruimten

Joran Gerrits en Katho Hermans, 2 studenten aan de Universiteit van Hasselt, doen onderzoek naar de toegankelijkheid van openbare ruimtes. Dit doen ze in het kader van hun opleiding Industrieel Ingenieur Bouwkunde.

Voor dit onderzoek peilen ze naar de moeilijkheden die optreden in openbare ruimtes. Hiervoor hebben ze een kleine enquête opgesteld die volledig anoniem verwerkt zal worden. Er worden situaties beschreven of getoond aan de hand van foto's waarbij een score kan gegeven worden van 0 (geen hinder) tot 5 (onmogelijk om de hindernis alleen te overbruggen). Omdat “hinder ondervinden bij het verplaatsen” niet noodzakelijk betekent dat je een min of meer ernstige fysieke of andere beperking hebt, kun je de vragenlijst ook invullen als je geen erkende beperking/diagnose hebt. Je kunt steeds invullen waarom je de specifieke situatie hinderlijk vindt.
